One of the most popular features at Noccalula Falls Park will soon be in operation again as new, electric trains are being installed.
As the final touches on the new track construction is completed, the paid portion of the park remains closed until Christmas at the Falls begins on Nov. 24, 2022. Tickets for the event will go on sale on Nov. 1 only at noccalulafallspark.com.
The two new trains will be fully operational to showcase all the sights that Christmas at the Falls has to offer on a 0.7-mile ride throughout the Park. Profits from Christmas at the Falls are reinvested back into the Park and are a major funding source for improvements like the new trains.
Like the previous engines, the new engines are known as C.P. Huntingdon trains and are modeled after a historical steam locomotive of that name.
The new models from Chance Rides are electric, which will greatly reduce maintenance costs while keeping the same classic looks and sounds visitors expect. The new trains also add seating capacity with an extra passenger car and remain wheelchair-friendly.
The Park also has undergone extensive track renovations to accommodate the new trains, and visitors will be able to enjoy the attraction for years to come.
