[ARCHIVED] Jazz in the Park coming to Gadsden

Gadsden, Alabama – Magic City Smooth Jazz’s highly regarded Jazz in the Park concert series is coming to Gadsden. For several years, the Jazz in the Park concert series has brought jazz concerts to venues throughout Alabama. This year Gadsden will host four concerts at Mort Glosser Amphitheater. The City of Gadsden Parks and Recreation department and the City of Gadsden are excited to add this popular concert series to the vibrant live music scene in Gadsden. Concert-goers are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets and coolers.

Jazz flutist Sherry Reeves and T.A.D. of Jazz will perform at Mort Glosser Amphitheater on Sunday evening May 8 from 6 -9 p.m. Admission to the concert is free.

Cashmere Williams and On Purpose f. Dwight Houston will perform at Mort Glosser Amphitheater on Sunday evening May 15 from 6 -9 p.m. Admission to the concert is free.

Isaac Byrd and Nils will perform at Mort Glosser Amphitheater on Sunday evening May 22 from 6 -9 p.m. Admission to the concert is free.

Guitarist George Freeman and trumpeter Willie Bradley will perform the second concert in Gadsden on July 3 from 6 -9 p.m. Admission to the concert is free.

Over the course of the 2016 Concert Series, Magic City Smooth Jazz will host more than 20 concerts from Alabaster to Gadsden all with the goal of bringing high quality entertainment to culturally underserved parks primarily in the Greater Birmingham area.
