There have been changes to this weekend’s City of Gadsden holiday event schedule due to the significant chance of rain.
The City Hall Tree Lighting originally planned for Friday night has been rescheduled for Friday, Dec. 8, 2023. The times remain the same: music at 5 p.m. and the tree lighting at 6 p.m.
This was going to be held in conjunction with the Coosa Christmas Boat Parade, and that event remains scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1. The boat parade is organized by the Neely Henry Lake Association and any changes/cancellations will be announced on their Facebook page.
One of the big weekend events going on is our new Christmas on the Coosa, which features ice skating, vendors, food trucks and more. Opening day for Christmas on the Coosa will now be Monday, Dec. 4, 2023.
The associated Mistletoe Market at Christmas on the Coosa will be Dec. 15-17 and Dec. 22-23. Many vendors will be set up on the 15-17 and some will return the following weekend.
Christmas at the Falls remains one of the premier Christmas events in North Alabama, and decisions about closing it will be made each morning. Please check the Noccalula Falls Park Facebook page for updates.
