Gadsden, Alabama – Gadsden Parks & Recreation is hosting the 2016 Black Creek 4-H Archery Invitational Tournament, which runs from Thursday July 28 through Saturday July 30th.
The event begins with registration and opening ceremonies at Academy Sports on Thursday afternoon with the competitions beginning Friday morning. Archers will be competing in several different events at the Noccalula Falls Park practice fields. Events include FITA, Field, and 3-D targets. This unique event has some spectator friendly events, especially the 3-D target competition on Friday and Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m. Spectators are encouraged to bring binoculars or spotting scopes as archers will be taking aim at targets up to 50 yards away.
Youth and adults are invited to participate in the tournament. Youth range from 9-18 (must be 9 by January 1, 2016.) Juniors are ages 9-13 and Seniors 14-18. The top five individuals in the Junior and Senior will be recognized in addition to overall awards.
