Gadsden, AL- – Celebrate Arbor Day with the City of Gadsden at Noccalula Falls Park on March 3, 2017. In partnership with the Alabama Forestry Commission, City of Gadsden, Gadsden Parks and Recreation, and the Alabama Cooperative Extension System, we’ll be giving out free trees.
Park staff will be at the Entry Pavilion of Noccalula Falls at 1500 Noccalula Road giving away trees. We’ll have a wide variety of species to give away: River Birch, Bald Cypress, Red Bud, Shumard Oak, Crepe Myrtle, Yellow Poplar and Pecan trees will all be available.
We’ll start the giveaway at Noon on March 3rd and wrap up at 2 p.m. One tree of each variety will be available to each person. We’ve run out of trees in the past and the free trees are first come, first serve, so don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate Arbor Day and add some trees to your landscape.
