Gadsden, Alabama – In remembrance of the events of September 11, 2001, the Gadsden Beautification Board and Downtown Gadsden Inc. invite the public to attend a ceremony honoring victims and their families at 5 p.m. on Monday, September 11th at Patriots Park on the corner of 4th and Broad Streets in downtown Gadsden.
Broad Street from Third to Fifth Streets and Fourth Street from Locust to Chestnut Streets will be closed for the event. Event parking is available in the public lots and on Broad Street. Some program highlights are the Etowah County Sherriff’s Office Mounted Unit, Gadsden State Community Choir’s patriotic medley, Gadsden Fire Department Honor Guard, Taps will be played and a bagpiper will close the ceremony.
