[ARCHIVED] Sugar Moon Café Coming to City of Gadsden’s 210 at the Tracks

Gadsden, Alabama – In a unique Public-Private partnership the City of Gadsden is proud to announce a new tenant in the restaurant portion of 210 at the Tracks - Sugar Moon Café. Today, the Gadsden City Council voted to lease a portion of the 210 at the Tracks building to Sugar Moon LLC to house a new restaurant. The 210 at the Tracks buildings, housed a restaurant, before the City of Gadsden took ownership, so adding a restaurant to the facility was an easy decision. Sugar Moon Café will be operated by Jessica Lindeen and Virgil Morris. Veterans of the food service and restaurant community Lindeen and Morris seek to bring a unique dining spot to Gadsden.

Bringing Sugar Moon to 210 at the Tracks was a win-win for Gadsden. The City is able to put to use a portion of an existing venue for a new restaurant and is able to provide an on-site catering connection for the many events already hosted at 210 at the Tracks. The City of Gadsden was in talks with several restauranteurs in the area about bringing an eatery to the facility, but Sugar Moon Café was the best fit for the size and scope of the currently available property. Additionally, the City will be able to realize additional revenue as Sugar Moon Café will lease around 4,000 square feet of the building at 210 Locust Street.

Sugar Moon Café will offer a lunch menu filled with soups, salads, and sandwiches made fresh to order along with a hearty daily Blue-Plate Special. Lindeen plans to provide a comfortable after work gathering spot with live music and an ample offering of appetizers. There will be a private dining room available and a variety of catering options.

Lindeen's restaurant philosophy is simple. Great food served in ample portions for a value price. She has accumulated a great staff that is eager to get started. Lindeen is proud to open Sugar Moon Café in her adopted hometown, Gadsden. For more information or catering inquiries please call 256-444-8020.
