Make sure you are on the lookout for the pesky little Elf on the Shelf, you never know where you might find him.  If you find him visiting with merchants during Girls Night Out and Christmas Open House, you may win a $10 Downtown Gadsden gift certificate.  He will be visiting everyone, so there are lots of gift certificates up for grabs!

The forecast is in and the chance of snow in Gadsden is 100%. Let It Snow: The Exhibit opens on Saturday, November 11th at the children’s exhibit space in the Mary G. Hardin Center for Cultural Arts.  The highlight of the children’s exhibit is an area filled with a material that resembles and feels like real snow. The snow is made of a non-toxic polymer material that feels cool to the touch but won’t get visitors wet. Children can play in the snow, slide down a snow slide, play in the ball pit, and slide around in their socks on an ice rink.  The opening of Let It Snow will coincide with the opening of the Festival of Trees.  This year’s theme is “National Parks and National Monuments” and each tree highlights a different park or monument.  The exhibit features more than thirty trees decorated by elementary school children and local non-profits.
