The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from Friday 12/8/2017 3:00 AM to 6:00 PM CST for Etowah County. Snow is expected with possible accumulations up to 1 inch, primarily on grassy and elevated surfaces, with locally higher accumulations possible.
After nightfall on Friday night until Sunday around Noon, you can expect temperatures as low as 24 degrees and wind chills as low as 18 to affect all of Etowah County.

Warming Centers will open Saturday
- The Gadsden Public Library located at 254 S. College, Street in Gadsden will be opened on Saturday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- The Carver Community Center located at 1030 Tuscaloosa Ave. Gadsden will be opened from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Saturday.
- The Salvation Army located at 114 N. 11th St, Gadsden will be opened for overnight and daytime warming beginning Friday night through Sunday morning.
