Gadsden, AL- A unique new event is coming to Gadsden, hosted by the City of Gadsden’s Parks and Recreation Department, the Luau at Coosa Landing-Farm to Table event. The event will be  Thursday, September 13, 2018, from 5-9  p.m. at the Coosa Landing boat launch at 200 Lake Street, Gadsden, AL 35903.

The Luau will feature a pontoon cruise on the Coosa River, presented by Buck’s Island Marina and tropical island themed music performed by Tropical Breez Steel Drum Band. The event menu will highlight Hawaiian themed food such as: vegetable skewers, a smoked Kalua pig, hawaiian rolls, and sweet themed pineapple and pina colada desserts, tea, soda, water, and for attendees over 21, they will have the option to select up to two alcoholic beverages. Additional adult beverages can also be purchased at the event.

Tickets are $75 per couple or $40 per single ticket. The tickets will include a  pontoon cruise on the Coosa River, a Hawaiian festive buffet, music, and drinks. Grab your colorful luau leis and come celebrate a fun evening on the Coosa River!

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online at gadsden.recdesk.com,  in person at the Parks and Recreation Office located in the Downtown Civic Center at 623 Broad Street, or Observer Supply located at 224 S 3rd. Street.  Please note all guests must select their preferred pontoon cruise time upon purchasing their tickets. The cruise times are: 5:30 p.m., 6:00 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 7:00 p.m., 7:30 p.m., or 8:00 p.m.
