Third Thursday, the Downtown Gadsden Inc. free concert series, continues on July 18 at the water wall, located between the Pitman Theater and the Downtown Civic Center. The performer for the concert will be Jason Lyles. Jason is a Chattanooga singer-songwriter who delivers an upbeat, caffeine-charged blend of power pop, alternative, Americana and roots-rock styles. His shows feature strong vocals and rhythmic acoustic guitar, crafty songwriting, and a knack for breaking out your favorite 80's pop or 90's alt-rock cover.
The 2019 Third Thursday season runs from May through September. Concerts take place from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.; gates open at 5:00 p.m. Attendees are invited to bring their coolers or to purchase their meals to-go from a downtown restaurant. Lawn chairs are encouraged because the available seating at the water wall is limited and on a first come first serve basis.
The remainder of the season will feature Carl Brady on August 15 and The Hubacher Brothers on September 19.
"If the conditions are too hot for the outdoor location or if it is raining, we'll move to inside the Pitman," says Kay Moore, Downtown Gadsden Inc. Director. "Follow us on Facebook for the latest information on the day of the concert."
