[ARCHIVED] Gadsden Public Library Hosting State Library Convention

Gadsden Public Library

The Alabama State Library Convention is coming to Gadsden April 12-15! This year’s theme is Libraries ImPOSSIBLE: Beyond the Bounds of Protocol! During this four-day convention, Gadsden will play host to over three-hundred and fifty librarians, authors and vendors! Breakout sessions will be presented by professionals and paraprofessionals in academic, public and school media library settings, and will cover topics that range on all aspects of library business (but with a focus on unusual, unique and/or low-cost ideas, programs, research)!

Special ticketed events include: The Art of the Pub Crawl with author Beth Ann Fennelly, Opening Session with author Joshilyn Jackson, President’s Program with author Tom Franklin, the Alabama Author Awards’ Program with authors Jeanie Thompson & Rick Bragg, and the Books-A-Million Author/Vendor Expo with over thirty authors (including Ravi Howard, Joshilyn Jackson, Rick Bragg, Irene Latham, Christie Craig, Don Noble, Jennifer Horne, William Thornton and Elizabeth Mozely)!
