The City of Gadsden is set to receive a little more than $24 million in Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Funds, which are part of the American Rescue Plan Act.
These funds are intended to provide support for local governments in responding to the economic and public health impacts of COVID-19.
The City will hold a public meeting from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at The Venue at Coosa Landing to allow the public an opportunity to provide input on how the funds could be spent.
The U.S. Department of the Treasury has published guidance with eligible uses of the funds.
