Moore has 20 years of executive sales leadership at Spectrum and 12 years of municipal experience as a former member of the Hokes Bluff City Council. He most recently served as Director of Sales for Spectrum where he managed a sales team across multiple offices in north Alabama.
In the mayor’s office, Moore will assist with economic and city council matters while also serving as the mayor’s liaison for several key city departments. Some of his focus areas will include parks and recreation and in branding and marketing for the city.
“My goal in joining this administration is that I want to make a difference in Gadsden,” said Moore. “I have bought into the vision of our mayor and will work hard to deliver that vision for Gadsden. This city is on its way up, and I am honored to be a part of the team.”
Moore holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Jacksonville State University. He has also earned several certifications including senior leadership and creative problem solving.
An active community servant, Moore is a member of the Etowah County Republican Party, president of Etowah C.A.R.E.S., and has served on the United Way of Etowah County board of directors and the Downtown Gadsden, Inc. board of directors. While serving as a councilman in Hokes Bluff, he gained valuable experience serving as Mayor Pro-tempore and left his mark by starting the annual tradition of Hokes Bluff Cityfest.
Moore is married to Kelly and the couple live in Gadsden. John has two children, Morgan and Peyton.
