Melcie Guyton graduated from Gadsden City High School in 2010 where she was SGA President, Homecoming Queen, and a Titan Ambassador. She then earned a bachelor's degree in music with a minor in business from University of Montevallo.
Guyton is a member of the Lambda Eta Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. in Gadsden. Her parents are Pastor Melvin Guyton and Tracie Buggs Guyton of Gadsden.
Guyton’s career began at the Allstate Claims Center where she was a Claims Service Specialist and was awarded the Distinguished Performance Award in 2018. She was chosen for the Allstate Catastrophe Team to assist customers with claims during severe weather tragedies and earthquakes in Florida, Georgia, and California.
In 2021, she went to work with the national startup company Landing where she began as a Community Manager and was later promoted to Installation Coordinator. In both roles, she exercised communication and organization skills to work with staff teams, customers, and vendors.
After building her career with Allstate and Landing in the Birmingham region, she has returned to Gadsden to make sure the vision of Mayor Craig Ford is achieved for her hometown.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, listening to live music, watching movies, and experiencing new things.
