Election Information

City elections are managed by the city clerk. On August 23, 2022, an election was held for the offices of mayor and seven council members, as well as seven school board members. A runoff election was held on September 20, 2022. The new administration began on November 7, 2022, and will end on November 2, 2026.

The next regular City of Gadsden election will be held in August 2026. City elections are non-partisan, and no write-in votes are permitted.

If you wish to register to vote, or verify or update your voter record, please call the Etowah County Board of Registrars office at 256-549-5384, or you may go in person to Room 206, Etowah County Courthouse, 800 Forrest Avenue.
