The Gadsden Museum of Art will have the following shows on display starting January 1: Feeling Unreal by Ann Trondson in the main gallery and the Piano gallery and Elisabeth Pellathy located in the Leo Reynold’s gallery. An art performance by Ann Trondson, Another Backboard, Another Court, will be held on January 8 at 2 p.m.

Ann Trondson makes videos, photos, performances, and conceptual artworks. By combing the division between the realm of memory and the realm of experience, Trondson absorbs the constant barrage of synchronicities and the moments that are a part of daily life and uses that force in her artistic practice.

Elisabeth Pellathy is a multi-disciplinary artist, utilizing drawing, printmaking, electronic media, and digital fabrication in her work. Issues raised by the disappearance of species, language, culture and information are the catalyst for visual explorations. As a first- generation American, she is keenly aware of the effort to preserve the disappearing, and the poetic slippage that often results.
