On Thursday, October 6th The Gadsden/Etowah County Emergency Management Agency will hold a C.E.R.T. Exercise at Banks Park Community Center which is located at 2780 South 11th Street, Gadsden, AL. The Exercise will begin at 9:00 a.m. Media registration will also be setup for check-in of observers at this exercise.
This exercise is the culmination of three weeks of citizen disaster training. “In the event of a real disaster the First Responder may be you. C.E.R.T. training prepares you to help your neighbor and possibly save lives in your family and neighborhood”, says David Elliott, GECEMA CERT Coordinator.
“Being prepared is an individual’s responsibility. I’m thankful that this group has taken the time to be more prepared for themselves, their families and their neighborhoods”, stated Deborah Gaither, GECEMA Director.
