Downtown Gadsden – On Thursday November 17th, the merchants of Downtown Gadsden will once again host Girls Night Out! Ladies, round up your friends and come out for a night of fashion, food, fun and friends! Several merchants will be open till 8pm with special promotions, refreshments, live music and unique events within their stores. After you’ve shopped till you drop, the restaurants will be ready to serve you a wonderful dinner. Make sure to treat yourselves with some dessert, you deserve it! Take advantage of this time to spend an evening with your girlfriends in beautiful Downtown Gadsden.
A passport will be available for pick-up at any participating location the day of the event. If you visit all locations, your name will be entered to win a gift basket filled with items valued at more than $350. And the merchants have been generous enough to give you all of Christmas Open House Weekend to complete your passport. Just make sure you turn it in to any participation store by Saturday. This gives you 3 days to take the time to visit everyone on the passport!

Hop on up for a joyful ride down Broad Street as you take in the sites of the charmingly decorated stores.

The forecast is in and the chance of snow in Gadsden is 100%. Let It Snow: The Exhibit opens on Saturday, November 12th at the children’s exhibit space in the Mary G. Hardin Center for Cultural Arts. An indoor winter wonderland complete with "snowball pit", a snow slide, sock-footed ice skating rink, a snow pit where kids can make snow angels and more. The opening of Let It Snow will coincide with the opening of the Festival of Trees. This year’s theme is “The Big Screen” and each tree highlights a different favorite movie. The exhibit features more than thirty trees decorated by elementary school children and local non-profits.
