The Gadsden Museum of Art’s Fourth Annual Night of Jazz returns to the Downtown on Valentine's weekend, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Feb. 11th. This year's event features entertainment from the Courtney Linam Band, a local group whose repertoire includes a wide selection of music from country to pop and everything in between.
This fundraiser benefits the GMA Foundation, which supports educational programming and exhibitions for the museum. Over the past year, the foundation provided art education through in-house classes and outreach in the city and county schools. The GMA’s programming also supported homeschool groups, Girl Scout troops, senior outreach programs, and many other non-profit groups. Not only does the fundraiser support these classes, but also Family Fun Day, Tot Tuesdays, educational tours, and over 20 changing exhibitions, all at no cost to participants.
Ticket prices are $30 per person/ $50 per couple. An Italian dinner (with a vegetarian meal) catered by Tre Ragazzi’s will be served. A gluten-free option is available by request. People are encouraged to bring coolers of their favorite beverages. Tea and water will be provided.
To purchase tickets, contact the GMA administrative office at 256-546-7365 or email museum@cityofgadsden.com.
