The Gadsden-Etowah Veterans Parade set for 2 p.m. on November 7th is fast approaching and applications are now being accepted. Greater Gadsden Area Tourism, the City of Gadsden, and the Gadsden-Etowah Patriots Association have partnered together to produce the 2018 parade. All units wishing to participate must submit an application. The deadline for applying is October 26th.
“With a couple months to go before the parade, we want to make sure folks that want to participate get the chance to get their application in,” commented Hugh Stump III, executive director for the Tourism board. “We are starting the buzz for the parade earlier than ever before to get more people involved. We want to make it a great parade to support our veterans and show them our appreciation for everything they have done for all of us.”
Applications can be downloaded from the Tourism website at www.greatergadsden.com or picked up at the Visitors Center at 90 Walnut Street in the Mort Glosser Amphitheater Complex Monday-Friday 9am – 5pm. You can also call the Tourism office to request an application be mailed or emailed to you at 256-549-0351.
