Parks and Recreation Department 

Mistletoe Market at 5Th Street Market.

Dec. 7th – 9th Fri. 3:00pm – 7:00 pm. Sat. 10:00am - 5:00pm. Sun. Noon – 5:00pm

Shop with local vendors, arts, crafts, baked goods, woodwork as well as food vendors and much more. 


First Friday at Historic Gadsden on Broad St

Dec. 7th 5:00pm. This is a free event.


Downtown Gadsden Christmas Tree Lighting at City Hall.

Dec. 7th 4:30pm – 6pm

This is a free event. Preforming will be Gadsden State Show Band. Santa Claus along with Mayor Guyton will light the tree at 5:30pm. Coosa River Boat Parade will pass by shortly after the tree lighting.

Christmas at the Falls

Nightly 5pm – 9pm until December 30th except for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Admission is $6.00 per person ages 4 years old and older. Tickets go on sale at 4:00 pm or online at www.noccalulafallspark.com.


Christmas at the Falls Mini Events. These take place inside of the event on certain nights at no extra cost.

Dec. 6th, 13th, 20th Reading Around the Christmas Tree. Story times are 5:30pm, 6:30 pm, 7:30 pm. Come enjoy Christmas stories each Thursday night. Readings will be done by Gadsden Public Library.


Dec. 8th Come feel the force at Noccalula Falls for ONE night only. Dress up as your favorite Star Wars Character for a night of fun. 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm.


Dec. 28th Paws on the Falls. A pet friendly night at Christmas on the Falls. Pets are welcome on a leash but not in the animal habitat area.

Youth Basketball:

Age groups starting at 6U – 18U. Basketball games start Dec. 15th thru March 2019. Games are played at various Community Centers in our area.
