Through collaborative discussions with local merchants, City of Gadsden Officials, and Downtown Gadsden Inc. the popular First Friday event has been canceled for Friday, July 3rd, 2020. The Summer Concert Series event scheduled for the same day is also canceled. 

The safety of all visitors, merchants, and vendors is our primary concern. While the current public health order is set to expire at 5 p.m. on July 3rd, the event cannot be held safely with all of the necessary social distancing guidelines and important public health precautions in place.

We hope to kick-off First Friday and the Summer Concert Series in August, but the entire First Friday team is carefully watching data and guidance from public health officials. While we love First Friday in Downtown Gadsden, it is not worth risking the lives of our visitors, vendors, and merchants.
